Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/160 @ f4

We have never had day lilies bloom into July but this little guy is nestled under a large butterfly bush and I think the shade agrees with it. All comments welcome.>=))>

Interesting look with the oof foreground wash. I like the sharpness of the stamen and the oof glow from the throat. It seems like these come with a built in light.

Excellent sharpness in the stamens, Bill and a lovely range of colour tones - the purple on the green is a real delight, and I like the yellow wash of the cram and the dof.

Bill - This must be an original composition for a prolific Daylily shooter like you - Love the green wash and for putting all the stamens into the DOF range for F/4 aperture !.

Very cool, Bill. I like the sharp focus on the stamens and the softness of the rest of the image. Nicely framed.

Bill, one more of your splendid portraits of this beautiful flower. You have presented it in its real atmosphere: in a shade of light and colors. Bravo.

Terrific mood, sorta smoky and mysterious...like a lounge singer in a really old movie. Excellent work

All of the elements go together so well in this, Bill. Great colors and light. I like the cram and the pof. Beautiful work, as usual. :toast:
