A fun morning at Crater Lake resulted in this photo of the Sun rising over Wizard Island. The color changes that happened through the sunrise were really interesting to me. Kinda looks like the Sun is being blasted out of the top.

Any feedback is more than welcome!

Very nice, very moody view. Having the sunlight catching the fog spread across the frame is a real treat. While I like this as presented, I also think that you could catch all of the same feeling in a version with the rightmost 1/4 cropped off and that it would put more attention on the island and the sun popping out of the top.

A very ethereal and magical scene Johan. That dancing light is simply gorgeous.

Wow--fantastic scene, Johan! My first inclination was to crop the rhs, as Mark suggests, but on second thought i think this would work even better as a long pano--with the bottom ~1/6 cropped--there's just too much negative space down there, and i agree with Mark that more emphasis is needed on the cool portion up top. :toast:

Beautiful light and atmosphere here. I like that the fact the rim of the lake is not visible adding to the mystical feel. Nice work, the large version is fantastic!

Amazing light. I don't think cropping would add anything, I just think it would benefit from being really large.

Stunning shot. Especially like the unique comp without the crater rim in the foreground. I wouldn't change a thing.
