Oxeye Daisy

An invasive flower surrounded by invasive grasses, but I liked the picture it made.

5Diii, 180mm f3.5 macro, tripod, f18, 1/100, iso 800, Av mode with -1/3 compensation. Processed in CS6. Full frame. Taken July 2nd at 7:30 am under cloudy skies. The higher iso was for the breeze that had started picking up.

Your comments and criticisms are most welcome.

Thanks for looking,

Beautiful, Dennis. The grasses make an excellent accent to the daisy. Perfect dof/pof for my tastes, and the raindrops add to the natural feel and mood. :toast:

Dennis - What Scott said before me. Looks all lovely with the dew and muted background. One small observation are the two lumps of that grass coming horizontally (& OOF) from the left edge. I think they are somewhat distracting.

Like the inclusion of the grasses very much, Dennis, especially the fg sharp and soft ones. I think maybe the droplets on both flower and grasses also help bind everything together visually - lovely image !!

Very appealing Dennis, for me, the grasses really bring this together beautifully, very nice detail and comp, and the rain drops add to this pretty little scene. Excellent work.

The rain droplets are the icing. A beautiful environmental portrait!

NewB - can't get analytical on you. Just want to say this is a lovely photo that grabbed my attention in all the flora photos - and the sharpness is perfect in the areas you focused on.
