Bald Eagle

Yet another from Seabeck. I liked the pose of the fish in this one, and the eagle's landing flare was nice as well. It was interesting to watch them do a one footed landing.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Black Widow on RRS legs, f6.3, 1/500, iso 1000, manual exposure. The high iso was due to the cloudy early morning. While the relatively slow shutter speed resulted in blurred wing tips, I kind of like them that way. Processed in CS6 and cropped to 9.7MP. Taken June 21st at 7:16 am (over two hours after sunrise, so it was definitely a dim morning).

Your comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Nice detail and great pose Dennis, The focused eyes show concentration and the wing spread is impressive. I guess it's fish and salad for dinner for this fellow. :toast:

Nice one Dennis. Love the wing spread. A tough light situation I guess. Liked this one

Very nice in tough light. The implied motion in the blurred wingtips works great for me.
