Folks,

This was just a chance situation which lasted for a few minutes. Am not a avid bird photographer, and one who looks around for some interesting patterns, and this caught my eye. Was a hand held shot with the 70-200.

I like the way you have 'much tree' and only 'little bird' what, due to the contrast in colors, works very well ! Nice job ! Hans

The colors really pop against that bark. I particularly like the fanned tail.

Though I see Hans's point, I think slightly tighter crop may help, at the very least eliminating the darker diagonal lines in the corners, which may also help move the parrot down slightly into the lower third of the frame.

I really like the relative proportions of the parakeet and the tree, Balan. It gives a great sense of scale and the feeling that the tree is immense. Ideally, I'd like the bird toward the right side of the frame to give it more room in the direction it's looking (in the parlance of this gallery "room to fly into"). The two triangles of oof wood at the bottom corners of the image look odd given the crispness of he rest-I'm not sure what you did there. Nice crisp detail and excellent job on the exposure.

A great contrast in colors on this capture Balan, gives the bird POP. You can experiment with various crops if you like. :toast:
