Yellow Warbler

Taken in Bradford County, PA near a swamp that I like. These Yellow Warblers sure light up the willows! I lured this one closer with a little pishing....they are quite curious, and come nearly instantly to the noise. The trick is getting them to land on a suitable perch, and then having them stay there long enough to fire off a few shots!

50D, 500mm w/1.4, ISO 200, 1/80
LARGER version also provided.

Thanks to those that take the time to comment/critique! Sharon

Good detail and color. The soft BG is most pleasing.

Excellent pose and perch, Sharon, and superb detail in the plumage. It looks to me as if the nictitating membrane is deployed-you don't by chance have an adjacent shot without it, do you? I've been known to steal an eye from one image for another now and then.
