I took this image about a week and a half ago at the Botanic Garden. I don't know the ID but I think it's a lovely flower.

Canon 60D, 15-85 IS lens@85mm, f/8, 1/400 sec., ISO 200.

I like the delicate feel you've presented here Barb.

Beautiful flower, Barb and perfect dof. I like the composition and the in focus spent flower on the right. I'm guessing Geranium, but I'm certainly not an expert.

Geranium maculatum, wild geranium. I was shooting these today as well but mine is not nearly as lovely as your shot !

This is great Barb! Excellent sharpness of the bloom and a nice BG. Very pretty. I agree that this is a wild geranium.

Beautifully done, Barb ! Perfect dof and sharpness ( love the pollen grains !! ); I also like the slightly desaturated look. A further vote, too, for the geranium !

Beautiful color and detail Barb, have no idea what it is, but definitely pretty. Composed beautifully.

Barb - As good as it gets. This is a variety of Geranium as identified already. Great focus, sharpness and a really wonderful non-intrusive background

This frame has it all.

What a lovely, gentle look at this little flower, set so nicely against the warm green background. I also like that sharp bit of spent bloom on the right.

Nice light and colors, well composed Barb.
I especially like the smattering of pollen about the center, well done!
