Poppy burst & repost

This is from the same patch of slightly reddish poppies I posted a photo of last week. The red in the bg is snapdragons. I deliberately went with a large aperture and small dof to keep the bg nicely blurred (plus the wind was blowing things around).

5Diii, 180mm f3.5 macro, tripod, f5, 1/1000, iso320, Av mode with -1/3 stop compensation. I cloned over the edge of another in focus blossom in the lower left that made a distracting element. Processed in CS6.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

I'm sure enjoying the details and lighting on the flower and how it's complemented so well by the oof colors in the background. I'd say you made the right choice about dof. As a minor nit, I would like a bit more space at the top...feels crowded up there. If there's no room in the original, some extra space can be created by adding canvas and using content aware fill.

Beautiful colors with an exceptionally nice bg, Dennis. I almost want to move the poppy out of the way and just look at the bg. I agree with Mark about more room on top.

I agree with Mark & Scott on the addition of space at the top. I never tried content aware fill before. After poking around to try to figure out how to do it, it seems to work pretty well, though it still took a bit of touch-up.
