I love Purple

I just love bumble bees especially early in spring when they almost seem drunk by all the pollen. The shot is not as sharp as i wished but thought i share it anyway.

Great color contrast, good sharpness on the portion of the bee that matters in that regard, and nice shadow on the flower petal. From the perspective that the subject is actually the yellow grains of pollen the bee is carrying and their color contrast with the purple petals, the lack of sharpness for the entire bee isn't significant. That it's head, eye, antennae and shadow are sharp, along with the grains of pollen, seem to be what matters most.

Love the colors in this one and, in particular, the purple reflection in the bee's eye. A very attractive insect image, something that's not easy to get. :toast:
