Injured Racoon

I was surprised to see this guy under a sunflower feeder earlier this evening. He seemed intent on digging for grubs or eating the seed that the birds had knocked out of the feeder so I thought I'd try to get a few shots. I noticed the missing fur (hair) and what looked like a lump at the base of his tail.

I'll post two photos since it's hard to see the injury in one. I think these are old wounds and he gets around pretty well without the use of his left rear leg.

Possibly hit by a car or a not too good racoon hunter.
