Patio garden

This garden scene is right beside my backyard patio. Enjoyed the beautiful blooms of the Rhododendron bush, but they quickly faded in the extreme heat we are now having.

Sony DSC-HX10V. 8mm at F/4 for 1/50 sec. ISO 125. Handheld.

This is basically a point & shoot camera; trying it out to see how decent the quality is for posting. Input appreciated.

Not familiar with the camera, Caroyln, but the result looks good to me. Nice color, tones, and detail. I like the pretty gardenscape you created and captured with the various green shades and forms and the blue pot providing the focal point.

What a nice, lush garden landscape! The array of plantings is pleasing to the eye with all the variety of form and color. The accent of the blue vase is perfect. I'd say the IQ of your camera is just fine. Nice to lighten the load a little, huh!

A wonderful garden image. A great mix of colors and textures, and the blue pot pops as do the rhodies. Your comp is just as good, too. :toast:

Carolyn, first... a great shot. Vertical array of plants is super. I like the focal point of the blue ceramic pot. The hosta, grasses, rhody, an maple are among identical plants as found in our backyard. And in near similar stage of maturity. Of course, our heat (supposed to get to 70) is not the same...so plants will be different looking by August... these look fresh, vibrant and healthy.

Well composed garden scene with lush colors. The blue vase at the lower left third point provides a perfect counterpoint. Well done!

The quality looks pretty good for this kind of scene, Carolyn, and you picked a tough one.
