Early Morning

Sunrise at Cedar Canyon. The morning was beautiful. Very little wind and enough clouds to add interest. Thanks to some late spring snows and a good rain things here are green again and the wild flowers are blooming. Great spring. This is a blend of two images for exposure and some selective dodging on the lower part of the image.

Shutter 0.4 and 0.8 secs.

Wow! That is a beautiful sunrise, Richard. I'm enjoying your composition here as well. Very nice work on this! I think it would make a wonderful print. :toast:

Pretty sunrise. The silhouetted tree works well.

I like the graphic quality, the color in the sky, and the moment. Well done.

A very nicely composed sunrise. No suggestions from me at all.
But, why f20? Just curious as image quality can be lessened with apertures set that high.

Very nice sunrise Richard. I like the way you placed the sun between the tree and the hill but slightly off center. Adds just enough tension to the image.

Richard,

Exquisite sky! And for me, I'm wishing the big pine tree wasn't blocking it! Of course it works very well as a silhouette and you composed this nicely. Just wish I could see more of that sky! ;-)

edit: the larger version shows much better, allowing some glimpse of the landscape. Oh, and there's a couple of dust bunnies you might want to clone out.
