Cattle Egret
by Bill Leggett
From Jefferson Island this morning. There were LOADS of birds there, and the Cattle Egret were the predominate species, along with lots of Roseates and a mix of Snowies and Little blues. I always like to find these in their breeding colors. This one was in slightly subdued light. Full frame, larger image included.

Ridiculously good colours on this one, and marvelous detail.I am especially pleased to see an image from an Olympus camera, my favourites from the good old days.

Looking at the image and applying a Luminosity channels adjustment layer (purely for the subject), adjusting that with a mask and then pulling back the Cyan & Blue really pulls out more of the plumage especially in the whites giving better detail and depth to the subject and does justice to what you captured.
