One of my favourite garden flowers.

As in the other magnolia, I like the diagonal and placement of the subject flower off center and the extension of the branch and buds beyond. I particularly like the lighting and exposure bring out the shapes and texture of the petals, and the water droplets are a subtle accent that is was not immediately apparent. Nice sharpness and bokeh.

The two very minor things I notice, not really significant but which I'll mention, are the lighter yellow spot in the bokeh under the left bud which could maybe be burned a bit. I find the green leaf peaking out from behind a petal to be a nice accent.

Very nice, Ian. I like the composition and the whites look very well exposed. The center of the flower is really cool. Good dof for the size of the blossom.

Beautiful Ian! I haven't seen these in several years. Love white flowers and the water/dew drops are the icing!

Oh man, this is a super composition. I really appreciate the details in the subject. As far as the background goes, it's about as perfect as it can be, although I do see John C's point about that one bright spot on the left, after he mentioned it. Toning that down could make this even "more perfect."
