Looking through the wildlife pages I saw Morkel's photo of an elephant in twilight and it almost looked like a mirror image of a shot I took in Amboseli last year...a bit closer...somewhere else...light a bit different...yet so much alike...

Ingrid it must be a real thrill to photograph these magnificent animals, it really does look very good in that light.

I really like your lighting here and the hint of details in the animal. I also appreciate that your exposure added the bonus of the dust off of the feet so I can sense the motion.

Ingrid, the light is wonderful, especially the little puff of dust by the elephant's feet catches the last rays of the sun. For my taste though the crop is a bit tight. I'd like ot have a bit more space around this impressive beast.

You are very correct Ingrid, the similarity is striking, right down to the exposure you both took. I like the tight framing, appropriate.

The warm lighting is great, especially with the yellow sky. I too could see a bit more space at the top, but that's a very minor complaint.
