Red-Winged Blackbird
by Dennis Plank
While I went to Ridgefield in search of the Yellow-Headed Blackbirds, I wasn't about to pass up their cousins. This one gave me a very nice pose at reasonable range.
7D, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, bean bag, f8, 1/250, iso 500, Av mode with no compensation. Processed in CS6. Cropped to 9.1MP. While the red in the epaulets looks saturated, the histogram is showing it's a little under. Taken at 7:20 am on April 24th at Ridgefield NWR.
Your comments and criticisms are very much appreciated.
Thanks for looking,
