Monument in the Fog

by Richard Teller

Just as the sun was coming up, fog started to rise off of the North Plate River and obscure the Scottsbluff National Monument. The sun caused some very nice colors in the fog. Mostly the monument was completely obscured, but occasionally a little bit of it would appear.

This one is delicious. The light, the color graduation and the muted shapes of the bluff are all fine. Very nicely done

This is simply fantastic, Richard. I love the pastels along with the sublime mood created with the fog. I could also see this working as a vertical.

Wonderful, subtle image Richard. I like the hint of the butte and the hill on the right to give the scene a bit of mystery.

Sumptuous color and wonderful mystery, Richard. I think that cropping most of the ridge on the right would add to the mystery, but this is fine as presented.
