When I noticed a few buzzards circling with the half moon one day at Enchanted Rock State Park in central Texas, I thought I'd try catching one of them near it. I'm happy with how this turned out, though it's not as sharp as I'd like.

Hi Thomas: Haven't see a film image here in quite a while! Velvia pointed at a blue sky can be troubling combo. The blue feels like Velvia on steroids. Based on the color of the moon, I'm guessing some post processing was done to push the blues even further. For me the contrast is so high that it doesn't work. Others may have a different thought.

I'm pretty open to the photographer exercising artistic license when it comes to colors and such, I didn't give a second thought to the blue as unrealistic. I do agree with you that the sharpness isn't quite there. The photo for me is more about the crescents though, and at that level it really works. Different and artsy! :toast:
