The Azaleas are everywhere here in Augusta during "masters golf week". These are from our front yard. I liked the almost 3-d look.
D7000, 50mm 1.8, F22 @2.5 sec, ISO 100, +7 diopter, tripod, remote release.
All comments and critique appreciated. Thanks.

Your comp is really nice...I am just wishing that the stamens/anther was a little more in focus. It seems like it was just a hair off. Aside from that your DOF was perfect...I would try to do the same thing again & tweak the focus. It does make a lovely scene & I like the curves of the stamens reaching outwards.

Azaleas here in Savannah have peaked and are mostly gone by now. They have had a prolonged engagement, due to the cool Spring. I like the composition—traditional, with the center of the flower and the stamen and anthers proceeding from the lower right third point. I am not sure of the color. The ones I see around here that are most common are more of a fuchsia color, that aren't hybrid varieties. Nevertheless, this is a nice color.

I agree with Eirini. In fact, this is a good candidate for focus stacking.

Bob:

The wiry filaments give this image some depth. Like Eirini, wish the anthers were all in focus though. Lovely pattern and color.

Azaleas are starting to pop up as well in HK and in Tokyo where I was last week.

Great look at these Azalea innards. I like how the stamen "wind" around and then curve up. They are very graceful.
