Not sure what I did to the original post as I took it off my laptop as it was. Forgot some of the exposure info too.
Went back to raw and started all over. Thanks for the interest. :wavey:

Went back and had a look at the original. This is much better. The color balance, play of light and shadow, and composition are all wonderful but it's the sun-star that really kicks it up a notch. Nice work

Not the sort of lighting we often see aspens presented in but it does make it more interesting. The interplay of light and shadow works well and the sunstar is well-positioned and controlled.

Much better than the other post Rick. I'm enjoying this a lot. Quite different aspen image and I like your comp. I like the centered sunstar. Very nice.

This works very nicely here, Rick. The softened light throughout the grove along with the sunburst makes for an inviting scene. I also think the placement of the sunburst is excellent for this particular scene. Nice work on this one.

This is really nicely done, Rick. I really like the interplay of light and shadow here and the sunstar is the icing on the cake. My only suggestion would be a little CW rotation as it appears a little tilted.

This one looks great, Rick! Well worth going back and redoing. I agree with a little cw rotation would be good for appearance. As mentioned the sunstar is a wonderful addition here. Nice work Rick.

The difference is night and 'sun-star' day Rick
I like the centered s-star, and the the way the outside aspens frame this a lot..
Very nice detail/DOF, colors, and light control - Excellent my friend! :toast:
