Crocus 2013 - 2

Gallery: FloraPosted April 12, 2013307 views20 comments

Hi all.

More crocus shots from a few weeks ago. I tend to agree with everyone about the last one that I posted, but I did like the amount of detail in the stamen on that other one.

Anyway, I would appreciate any thoughts that you have on this one.

Thanks.

This is really nice, Nathan ! Well composed, the fg flowers handled with great delicacy, and the background seems just right to me.

I really like the overall delicacy that the pastel colors and your comp. create here. Makes it feel like a sunny spring day where I'd lay in the sun and take a short nap to soak in the warmth and sounds.

Exquisite colours, comp, and a peek at the center.
Lovely!

I really prefer this comp! I don't feel cramped at all like I did in the other one. Love the mottled BG!

Nathan:

I like the dof on this one and the composition with the bg blossoms mimicking the angle of the foreground blooms.

I agree with the stamen detail on the previous Nathan, but this is overall fantastic.

MUCH better than your previous take, Nathan! THis has ll the delicacy and luminance found in forest of crocus viewed from-- YES!-- flat on the ground! Beautifully done! The accuracy of the color looks really good, too.

Nathan: Oh this is so good! I really envy you folks who have crocus. I've been off the grid for several days so just got to see this one. Exceptional photography. >=))>

This is another beautiful image Nathan! I like everything about this image - comp, light, detail, background, etc, but mostly I like the point of view. Very nice work (as usual!)
