Nice look at a very young oak tree. This does seem dark.

Charlie, I find this acorn seed entirely intriguing.

From this the mighty oak tree grows! Fascinating close-up look of the very beginnings of the growth of a tree. I like this view of the baby plant developing within the acorn, but soon will push aside that protective shell. Wish you would have brushed away the distracting stem across the top part of the acorn cap before pressing the shutter. Otherwise I like the natural leaves, etc. the acorn is resting on. Very cool find and great for the theme, Charlie.

I wish this little oak a lot of luck. It's going to need it. Oak forest regeneration seems to be a very slow business. The intimate and dim look is perfect for a sprouting seed in the leaf litter. This image is an invitation to look closely and we see something furry like, well doo-doo from some predator, but who knows? Thought-provoking anyway.

Like this view of the acorn as it first 'wakes' up, great natural setting.
Well done
