Fall On Spring Flowers

Zeiss 100mm with polarizer and NIkon d800e used to capture this pin oak leaf that recently fell off the tree...they drop awfully late. The heather provided a nice mattress on which to rest.

A little something different to view. I like the veins and tried a variety of dof...At first thinking that a shallow dof would give an edgy look ...but, preferred this.

Ken: Beautiful juxtaposition of disparate elements. I like your DOF choice and the evident care you took with the plane of focus as well. Most excellent.>=))>

Neat idea! Would be cool to see the shallow DOF version as well.

Hi ken :wavey: The perspective gets me   looks like this is a giant leaf, or the BG is very far away  i see the usual fine detail and color from your work :jump:

Hey Ken nice shot. I like your chosen dof....gives it a really nice sense of depth, almost like two separate environments. A couple oof edges seem a little distracting to me, I might try a vignette and see how that goes but still a very nice image. :toast:

What a beautiful idea, Ken! Unusual and very pleasant composition. The light unifies the two elements: Erika and leaf.
I love the photo.
Take care.

Love this Ken. I like your idea, and I think it has a good amount of vignetting around the edges to lead the eye to the center. There's a bit much empty space bottom center, but cropping up from the bottom throws off the balance unless you crop down a bit from the top as well. Great shot!
