The color purple

These are in a narrow planter in the center of town, which is great as long as you aren't trying to take a picture. I used a light colored building across the street, and fought with wind and traffic.
D7000, tripod, 70-300
All suggestions appreciated.

Pretty well done, Bob, in what were obviously difficult circumstances. Love the slightly sombre purple on the greyish ground; it's maybe a touch soft, but that is understandable.

Hi Bob

Love tulips, they are so photogenic flowers. The purple here is nice. The image may be a little underexposed and a tad soft.

Bob: Glad you survived the traffic. For me this is a little dark, especially the BG. I think it would be helped by more contrast. >=))>

I like the way you positioned the bloom in the frame...slightly tilted to the side. The building actually made for a very classy BG!
It is a little soft though...almost seems like the stem is more in focus than the flower. Sounds like you were working under very tough circumstances!
