Sunset Glow

Just minutes after the sun slipped below the horizon, following a clear sunny day in March.. Central Texas Hill Country.
I had hoped to get a glimpse of the Panstarrs Comet following the sunset, but too faint to see here by the 16th:frown:

Great color in that sky! The graphic quality of the dark branches against the sky works well, too. Sorry you didn't get the comet.

I hope to see some Texas wildflower shots here soon. My sister lives in Houston and she told me she went on a drive seeing all the great flowers in the country around A&M. :wavey:

Howard, I love it when the sky glows orange like this. I also like the quiet peaceful mood of this.

I sure like the waving branches angled against that lovely orange sky. I find the heavy branch in the upper left somewhat distracting, but it's a lot of cloning to make it go away.

Beautiful color and the branches make a great silhouette against it. Lovey mood as well

An attempt at an even simpler comp, per your suggestion Mark.
Less bottom too.. The bottom was actually a ridge of land close to me about chest high, and in front of the subject here..
i.e. the tree's on lower ground..

Howard, my preference is the balance of the first with the greater amount of dark bottom.

The diagonal lines first drew me to this image. In it's simplicity it seems to have motion. Good capture, Howard, and I like the comp of the first one best.
