Here's my paltry offering from Dune week here. I took this back in 2010, and it's a little different take on the dunes with the sky and light, I guess.

Not much competition for Stan and Hamed, though.

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Welcome to the party Morris! Wouldn't call it paltry at all. The wind driven sand is a totally new dimension that contributes lots to this story. Nicely done.

I agree with the others, the wind driven sand with contrasting light & dark dunes is very nice Morris.
Looks great! :toast:

I like the differing light in the two near ground dunes contrasting with the darker dunes at the back of the shot Morris, the ripples add extra interest too.

A top notch dunes image, Morris. I like the exceptional light, the lines, the capture of the wind, and the soft blue sky which contrast beautifully with the light brown sand. Beautiful! :toast:

I like the contrast of the rippled dunes with blowing sand & the darker smooth looking dunes in the BG. The variegated blue & white sky is nice too! I think you are definitely a contender here in the dune competition!

Morris, This is wonderful!! As mentioned that blowing sand is a wonderful element here. I also really like the shapes of the distant dunes and the light, shadow and color on them looks fantastic! Nice work Morris.

I like the composition, the soft colors and tones, and the blowing sand. A very worthy image.

 Looks pretty darn good to me......
The composition and drifting sand works very nicely. Maybe a bit tough on the light, but definitely not too much IMO.

The layering is very nice, with the warm rippled dunes in the foreground and the starker dunes in the distance. I also like the dancing sand, must have been fairly windy.

Hi Morris. The Sand Dunes are getting a lot of play and I think your entry does you proud. I love the strong layering, foreground to background. Your comp is well done and of course the movement and energy of the blowing sand well caught. Love it! :toast: Chet

Love the cooler light and more subtle play of warm and cool tones. The wind blown sand really adds to the feeling of desolation and expanse. Love your composition as well; the distant dune in the upper left really gives this tremendous depth. Right up there with the finest dune images in my opinion.

Hi morris :wavey: I think it's a very fine capture of the dunes... because of the wonderful color tones. and how the different layers work . the ripples in the foreground, the blowing sand,in the middle, and the heavily contoured lines of the dunes in the background :toast:

Well, it doesn't suck! I think it's pretty nice with the sunlit blowing sand across the foreground. Including the sky adds a sense of size and scale too.
