It was a cold crisp day in the clouds on the rim of Crater Lake Oregon.
I just really liked the angles and the layers that came out of this one.

The orange grass in the lrc is an attractive starting point and a fine counter point to the dark green trees fading into the clouds.

Very nice, Ed! I really like the color transition from bright and colorful to almost b&w in the depths of the fog. Very nice detail and the diagonal composition works very nicely.

I agree with you, I really like the angles and layers in this image! Wonderful comp with the brown grass in the right bottom corner, some visible rocky area in the foreground, the clearly visible trees in the foreground leading through to the trees gradually disappearing into the mist, and the great diagonal angles of the cliffs. The color transitions flow nicely too. Well captured image, Ed!

Ed, This is very nice! I really enjoy the different layers of your diagonal composition here and the fog adds a great mood. The foreground color just fades away so nicely. Nice work.

Vertical comp works really well here to capture this view from the edge of the weather. Your diagonal comp also gives this a nice, balanced " yin-yang" look, between the clear FG and and beautiful layers disappearing into the fog. (Ooops - 2nd try - probably hit "next photo" instead of "Add Comment" again.)

Beautiful simplicity in this lovely scene, using angles and textures to create the interest. It's very calming. Congratulations on the Pick.
