Morning Nuthatch
by Jim Zablotny
I spent about an hour yesterday morning in my blind waiting for birds to come into the feeder. Finally, this female red-breasted nuthatch posed briefly on an apple tree branch and I was able to take a few shots. For post processing, I used levels, Topaz Detail, cropped for composition, and removed an OOF stick that was a distraction. K10d, 300mm f4 DA*, ISO 400, f8, 1/400sec, natural light................Jim
