Mushrooms

I loved these little guys. I can just picture a leprechuan playing peekaboo with me. I like the random blades of grass to add a bit of interest. I tried some spot healing(?) to take care of some light blurry spots in the FG. Was it enough? Is it obvious? Another attack instead? Thanks!

The profusion of delicate growth has a whimsical feel. Then along comes these two massive solidly built granite like structures. A neat contrast betweenn the two and you captured it beautifully. Way to go! I think I would leave the FG as it was shot because as shown it does look manipulated.

Christine: Great POV and brilliant DOF management IMO. I'm ambivalent about the FG and may not have noticed it without your mention. Two thumbs up. >=))>

Here is the unhealed image. How best to deal with the white part of the FG? I can't crop it out without losing the bases of the mushrooms. Ah, maybe crop out the whole right side? That might be too much though.

Hi Chris,

This is such a wonderful image! As for dealing with the foreground, I would try cloning or use the patch tool. You have enough blurry foreground to use as the base that it should work out just fine.

I like both versions. The mushrooms are beautiful in a kind of 3D image. :wavey:

The random blades of grass do add a lot of interest for me, Christine - and I like the shot very much. The lighting looks fine too.and the composition is perfect.

Great comp and colors, Chris. The spot healing is not obvious to me.

I like this as is....and could not really see the difference between the two! I also like the composition....I wouldn't crop anything off...love the cute mushrooms & all the stray blades of grass!

Hi Christine :wavey: A beautiful scene well captured. the spot healing worked well for me, the blur above the large schroom could also be removed

Hi Christine, these mushrooms are lovely. I like the low angle and colors. I did not notice the blur in the FG in your first version.
