Osprey taken near Brooksville, Florida

1/2000 at f9 and ISO640
Canon 500mm
Canon 7D

Very big stick for this bird to be carrying to the nest. Not sure where he got this one but I have witnessed them twisting dead branches from the tops of scrags. One free thinking Osprey even stole a branch from a nearby nest. Always fun to watch during this buid-a-nest time of year

Very nice clean shot of osprey behavior. Love the position of the wings. Very nice indeed. :toast:

Nice one, Scott. The long stick compliments the "V" formation of the wings. Good work on the techs, too.

Wow, what an unusual shot of a bird! Looks like he is about to use it as a pogo stick. Nice composition and sharpness.

Well done and unusual. I got a chuckle out of the seriously big stick.

Easy for you to say. It's -31 F outside here, and nesting season is more than three months away. :frown:

Very good behavioral capture, Scott. I like the intensity on the bird's face and the very good detail throughout.

Sweet composition, Scott. I love the extended wings and spread tail.

A rather fun image, your POV to capture him in that position is fascinating. Perhaps a tad to centered but that's a minor nit.
