Here's another shot from my week in the Capetown area last summer. This is one of the larger (7 inches) old world warblers. This is full frame, bird was called in, natural perch.

The singing pose is outstanding. A gorgeous bird with nice coloration and markings and well captured BG and perch.

Nice one Nate. The buggers were real skulkers in the highlands in Zim when we lived there for a while - never popped up like this

Wow, this is a very beautiful bird, in a great shot. I this were mine, I would consider removing the leaves at the left of the image.

Can almost hear the song. The fine detail against the soft bg really makes this guy stand out, and the fact that its beak is wide open adds plenty of action .

Lovely textures and warm colours in the plumage, and nicely blurred background.

Wonderful shot Nate and exciting species as well. I did not encounter it while there, on the thumb it reminded me of the Cape Sugarbird. Cheers, Hans
