After almost a half dozen wildfires in the area north of Huntsville, Texas during 2011-2012 another blaze erupted last December to threaten the area once again.

This shot certainly portrays distruction. What caused the fire?

Four major fires have been through this area in last two and half years. One was started by a careless camper, one by a car fire and the other natural.
This fire in the picture got no news stories from my searches so assumed it was contained.

God Bless Texas

I like the early black and white image you posted better, felt more drastic and harsh.

Gee wiz Rick, you've been holding out on this great 'colorized' version

I much prefer this one over the B&W..
You should go back and present a third installment called 'Rebirth', with some green in it from this spring?
Well done Tex

Thanks for the comments. I have been shooting this area for two years now and plan exactly what you suggest.
Thinking about a exhibit of the wildfire destruction and rebirth.

Have a good weekend.
