Here's one from this past summer that I never processed. I know BIFs of birds heading away aren't the best but this one had eye contact. Noisy Nikon sutter I guess...

Very nice Dan. Even though he is starting to head away, the shot doesn't really give that impression because of the wing position.Love how the left wing is swung over the top of the head. The catch with dripping water is always a big plus. Really good tchs as well. I think this one is an all around winner IMO. My tiniest nit is it's a little tight on bottom, but still works fine.

Great moment of capture.
Maybe some background work to remove some white distractions?
Well done :toast:

A little different view from what normally might see and it works very well. Love the detail in the larger version, fish and water droplets. Well done!

Nice grab by the eagle and by you... the good solid look at the head really makes this

This certainly works for me, Dan. I love the wing positions, and the angle fo the head is perfect. The fish and water droplets add a nice finishing touch.

Outstanding capture. Love the water droplets and the fish is a big bonus. Very sharp. My only nit, and it is a very small one, is the line of white in the background. A tad distracting.

Great capture of this action. The white areas in the BG are way more bothersome than the very, very, very, very slight "heading away" which is a total non-issue for me. I would burn the whites down a little bit. I would be very proud of a shot like this! :toast:

I like the repost - heads and beaks seem to be the most difficult for me get right on the eagles -- you did very good on capturing those yellows and whites -- lot to like here

looks great, Dan--nice work in the repost. good detail, nice wing position and good eye contact, even if it's starting to move away. I agree about it being just a little tight on the bottom.
