Great action shot. Exposure is spot on and the red eye is really beautiful.

Beautiful detail, Rob and a great landing shot. I might be tempted to crop some from the bottom-I find the partial wing reflection a bit distracting.

Nice feather detail and exposure of blacks and whites. Have always liked their unusual feet. These feet look more grayish. The feet are greenish on the American Coot. Nice shot.

Wonderful action, you can just feel the feet reaching for the landing.

Not an easy shot to get, Rob. Exposure looks great and I like your comp. Nicely done.

Hi Rob,
This is very nice - and for me that sharply focused and pointed left foot really makes the shot (don't ask me why - couldn't tell you). Hard to find much to knock on this one - real nice to look at...
Cheers...

Excellent. Nice to see something different in a coot shot.

Nice one. Looks like an ink sketch with all the metallic colors and only the red eye to set it off. Like the comp a lot, too, Rob.

Excellent action pose and detail for this hard to expose bird. TFS.
