I found this dead crab in the rocks at Weston Beach, Point Lobos, near Carmel, California. The color of the crab amid the swirling gray rocks was what caught my eye.It was a very overcast day, a good time to catch close ups in the tide pools.

Canon 5d,M3 at f/14, ISO400, 50mm, 1/40 sec., tripod

The lower left hand corner is not in focus and I am wondering how much that detracts from the overall image.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

I agree with you, Barb. I like the pattern of the rock, and the pink crab provides a contrasting point of interest. For me, it would be preferable if the crab was living, but the dead crab tells a message a story as well. I really am not bothered by the oof LLC. Thanks for sharing.

This is great, Kathy. The shape of the crab fits well with the swirling lines and the crab's colors really grab my attention.

Beautiful swirls in the rocks! Am a little sad about the poor crab though!

Love the swirls of stone and the way the color of the crab contrasts. Unique and interesting
