Hybiscus in the Morning

Olympus E5, handheld, focal length, apeture 6.75, f9, 400 ISO, early morning sun hitting the flower. C&C welcomed. I was trying to get the stamen and the flower in focus. As always, there's a breeze on the island.

Elizabeth: Spectacular lighting and DOF/POF control. My only less than 1¢ suggestion would be to make the light bokeh spot in the ULC go away. Superbly crafted image.>=))>

Beautiful image thanks to the fine comp and backlighting. I agree with Bill's comment about the bright spot in the ULC. Nice work, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth:

Fabulous image. Love the positioning of the bloom with the flower diagnonal. Agree with Bill about the bright spot. Also you may want to consider cloning out the horizontal leaf.

Thank you all. Perhaps off site someone can tell me the best way to eliminate that spot.

If you have PS, just use the patch tool. Google patch tool and there are many tutorials on how to use it. Here is one.

You may want to try removing the horizontal leaf as well. You can repost your rework image for additional critique. Be sure to change the title as well by adding 'Hybiscus +Repost' to alert members you have added another image.

All beautiful for me, Elizabeth: the spot of light, the composition, the mysterious mood. If it were mine, I would have tried to clone the leaf touching the upper petal of the flower. I wish it were mine! Beautiful photo.
Take care.
