An incredible capture. I really like the owl's position, the BG with those plant stems shooting up from the bottom. The right wing and body are just the slightest bit soft but gosh still one of the better owl in flight pictures I've seen.

sweet pose and head turn with great light and colors. I do wish the bird was a little sharper.

i have applied some sharpening to the larger image but it was always going to be difficult in this light to get much better with the 7D because of grain problems above iso400. Graham

What a beauty. I like the composition and I think it is the most important part of this shot. Nice wing position and head turn.

Graham: I don't get over to Avian very much but this is fantastic. The head turn is the icing on a fantastic cake for me. >=))>

Amazing! Its hard getting owls in flight, because some times they are to far away when they fly, or when they fly close to you there head isn't always pointed at you. But you got him close and looking at you, it looks really nice!

The head turn really makes this shot. Yes, it could be a bit sharper, but it's a really cool shot.

Fine image - the head-turn and stare are excellent, and the detail and BG nice.
My only suggestion would be to trim that one long grass a bit, so it does not intersect the wing.

Sweet pose and light, Graham. The larger image looks just a bit soft to me-maybe a touch more sharpening?

Very nice. The pose, and techs, they're all in synch. I also like the colors, both subject and bg.
