The smaller turtle was trying his very best to woo the blue eyed girl.........He didn't seem to care, that she was all wrong for him Definitely not his type (species).
This was taken at the aquarium in the Houston Zoo
I had to work fast to get them with no glass reflections and keep a pose. You may not have noticed, but they are underwater in a tank in front of me.

What a cool and unique turtle image Lucy. The IQ in the laregr version looks great and does not seem to have been impacted by the fact that you were shooting through glass.The diagonal comp and the black BG are other positives that help in making this a beautiful image. I only wish that there was a bit more space below to include the entire turtle.

Really nice image, Lucy., I think given the lighting the cut off portion of the larger turtle is less of an issue. I think the implied gesture of open mouth and outstretched forelegs make the shot, as well as the perfect posed head turns.

Thanks, I hoped that the bottom of the photo would not be much of a nit. I had to crop the bottom, as she was touching the bottom, and you could see the tank. Hope others will agree. At home, I just put her in a black frame, and the photo looks better.

The guy turtle figured desperate times/measures. Whatever, he made for a unique and very pleasing image. You handled the glass well, Lucy. Nice work.
