We have a very cold couple of weeks here in the Netherlands. I was looking at the images I made in last years winter. After a misty night everything was covered in beautiful icy structures.

Very cool image, Ellen! :cool: Great comp and colors in this simple icy scene. Love the drooping lines of the seedhead branches and the covering of icy crystals. I would wish for a tad more frontlighting to help show off all the details more. Unfortunately, we have had very little snow or ice the last couple of winters in SE Pennsylvania--limits photo opportunities. I love finding this kind of simple but elegant image. Great find! :smile:

Well composed, Ellen. I like the choice you made to use the blue sky as the bg for the icy reed. The white stands out nicely from the contrasting blue sky. (There looks to be a thin horizontal thread line at tip of bottom "branch" (?) on the right side of the reed that needs cleaned up.)
