Very cool shot - love the ice detail in the fg. Te BRC looks a bit dark, though I'm sure that part of the water must have ben retty dark. The cold looking river contrsts nicely with the red rocks and subtle sky colors.

Excellent, Alex. Beautifully composed and the light is sweet. One of the best images I've seen from Smith Rock. :toast:

Sick man... I like how you kept the FG darker to accentuate the light & color behind the spires. I'm sure you're happy to be back west. Congrats on ES.

Exellent comp, really nice light, and a beautiful balance in tones from foreground to sky. The crisp detail gave away that it was a D800. Dang, that camera is enticing me to leave Canon. They better come up with something equal soon.
The contrast of warm and cool light and warm and cold subjects works so well in this. :toast:

Nice flow to this one and nice job avoiding the trees and paths that usually make it difficult to photograph around here. Love the warm/cool contrasts!

Beautiful warm and balanced light. The right corner at the bottom looks a bit dark which I find a little bit distracting. But it's a beautiful image as is. Well done

Very nice. I was there briefly on Wednesday in a drive-by way with family and noticed the ice. Great opportunity to get something unique, and you definitely did. I can't tell where you shot this from...to the right/east of the bridge?

Love it Alex. The flowing water and jagged peaks are very appealing and create a nice contrast of texture. The ice in the foreground is very nice as well. Hope to make it out there someday.

The water seems oddly neutral--but I like the overall scene, the ice is real cool. Definitely a keeper.

Alex, you have a beautiful touch. I love the way the river flows into the image. The tonality is amazing, sure it's a keeper.
