Unruly Blooms

The same neighbor that brought me the Kalanchoe flowers brought me these as well on the same day (right before the freeze). These are also from some kind of succulent...I was not going to even bother with them as they were so unruly looking, but my husband said "WHY NOT??"

If anyone knows what they are let me know!

This is a stack of 9.

I don't know what they are, but you did a bang up job on them! I like this the best of your "studio" shots thus far. :toast:

Lucy,
I use Zerene...took a little while to figure out but after a 30 free day trial of that & Helicon I liked Zerene's capabilities better. However there are some really good stacking photographers here on NPN who prefer Helicon or Adobe Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop (I don't) you can try the other two...30 days is plenty of time to play with!

Unruly or not, you certainly did a good job of documenting this. I like the lighting here more than the Kalanchoe. Probably the best of your dark studio shots.

Fascinating! Masterful lighting again. You've done a wonderful job of creating order and movement from a chaotic subject.

I really like the comp of this--has a carefree feel to me. Very interesting flower (don't know ID) and again you did a great job with stacking and processing to turn this simple flower into a work of art. Nicely done, Eirini!

I am very thankful to your husband. For me this image is splendid: creative, mysterious, full of mood, perfectly edited. You must look ofter for unruled flowers!
Take care.
