The wild coast of the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. I opted for a simple composition here, focusing on the progression of visual elements from near to far.

This has a wonderful feel to me, from the rugged rock in the foreground along the rock cliffs to the far distant peak. The color and composition are very satisfying. Very well done. Chet

Ian, to me this is perfectly done! A good visual progression, the horizon placed appropriately, a lovely natural sky. The colors are eye pleasing, never garish, and the detail superb. Many kudos, and thanks for posting a lovely picture of a coast I will probably never see (though I have put it on my bucket list!).
My guess is this is late evening, looking to the SW?

Very beautiful, Ian. The composition works very well and I like the subtle yet beautiful color in the sky.
Also, I have recently purchased a couple of your e-books and wanted to thank you for making these resources available and for sharing your expertise. I am currently working through "Visual Flow" and it is really helping me think more intentionally about composition.

Beautiful imagery Ian. Reminds me a bit of the coast at Duncansby, Caithness, Scotland and some places in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Very nice composition. I like the large rock in the FG not being too overpowering. I love the lines beginning with the green FG and following along the coast to the gorgeous orange sky. TFS

Definitely looks wild and rugged. The gentle colors in the sky are the perfect topping to the subtle colors and strong textures in the land.

Gorgeous Ian!!! It kinda surprised me to see your name of this one as it's not as dark and moody as so many of your images. Still, it's a knock out. Love the FG detail - I can practically feel the rough texture of the rock. Perfect processing too, as usual.

Wonderful view and light. The cliffs look remarkably like Lands End, Cornwall.
