This is one of a series of photos I took at Seneca Rocks in West Virginia this past fall. The conditions I was shooting under was midday (sun overhead) but I could not pass it up. What I noticed when processing that I did not see at the time; I count 4 people along the top of the rock and 6 on the wall face at various places. There may be others. Scaling this down to post, you may not be able to see them.

Canon 7D, 70-200L IS II @ 70mm, 1/200sec, f/8, iso200, AP, eval metering, handheld, midday. cropped for composition, contrast adjustments to detail the rock.
C&C welcome

David,

What a great rock! You did well to capture and handle the light here - the colors are excellent. The cloud makes a difference too.

Appreciate considering the "hand of man," and posting here, although I'll be darned if I can't spot any of those dang humans! Even in the larger view. I think you're right, the web prep kindly took care of that. I do notice the two black spots in the sky though. ;-) Birds? or dust? I'd clone them out either way.

Good one, no complaints really.

Lon

Where's Waldo???? I like the composition and it certainly has interest. I am thinking the trees in the FG look a little soft and IMO in an image like this everything should be sharp. Looks like a fun rock to climb!

This is a beautiful rock and you did capture it well. I also love the cloud in the sky - it makes it more interesting.
