Don Westbrook
by Don Westbrook
New member here. I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and have decided to devote myself to travel and wildlife photography. I just came back from a week in Churchill Manitoba photographing polar bears which was fantastic, and have already put down my deposit to return next year. Until then I am spending a lot of time on Assateague Island and at the Blackwater refuge.

But the most amazing thing to me, speaking of the sunglasses, is the reflection of the sun and another, opposite horizon which you have managed to capture there! (I presume these lenses are polarized as I see nothing in the other one); kind of reminds me of the distinction between the left and right eyes of René Descartes on the cover of the book in my very first philosophy class.... but I digress.
All of these lines; the arm, the glasses, and the buttons on the shirt; all are leading lines up to the head and face of the subject, which I presume to be your head and face. If I am wrong, please correct me.
Very nicely done, Don Westbrook! and with a fill flash, I presume, though you neglected to provide EXIF data.
The one very very minor nit I have with this image is that your horizon appears not to be precisely level, and that is a particular peccadillo of mine, no alliteration intended.
Don
Welcome! Nice to meet you. I look forward to viewing your photographs in the future.

Don!!! We gotta find that guy and take up a collection to get him a camera, you know what I'm sayin'?
I am feeling a sense of loss here in that we have t his image of Don, but we've lost, possibly forever, the photographer who made this image, with the angles, and the sunglasses' reflection of an alternate sunset and all of that.
How could this happen?!?!?!?!!!
Anyway, welcome to NPN, Don. Maybe next time, get the web address of the photographer. That's my advice.
