Eagle in winter

One of my earlist digital images, taken of the male bald eagle in the zoo. I like the pose he was in and the sprinkle of frost on his feathers. He cannot fly so the exhibit was built with an open top. A few years after this photo was taken the pair of eagles was visited by a wild male bald eagle who stayed around for a few days.

Olympus CZ740
1/320 @ F-3.7 ISO 100

Nice pose, John. I think the subdued light and colors fit well for a winter photo. Like that sprinkle of snow on the back. Good handling of the white.

Never would have picked it as a zoo photograph. I really like the patterns and textures.
