Hushinish Beach, Harris, Scotland

I realize this may not appeal to many but I like the lines and various shapes within. Taken on a Transient Light Workshop last autumn. It is also one of the first images I took with a Pentax 67II (courtesy of Ian Cameron).

Pentax 67II
Pentax 67 55-100mm
Fujichrome Velvia 50

Thanks for having a look.

Happy New year!

Eva, I like what you have done with this image. The colors and shapes are amazing. I like the curving black line that runs down from the top and the wet yellow rocks. Chet

Very nice, I'm attracted to the textures and colors of rocks also. They make nice abstracts.

The arrangement of shapes (both in color and in tonality) is very harmonious. This feel of 3D of the textured rocks is just very nice.

Well done!

The more square format works well with this. Excellent mix of tones, color, and textures. I could see cropping the brighter rock at the bottom as it pulls a little. Such a good eye to bring order to scenes like this, Eva.

I love it, Eva! Great color balance. Perfect as is, IMO--but as a thought, it might be interesting to reduce the clarity here, so the colors take control over the texture. I have no idea what it would look like--just an idea :wavey:

I like this very much Eva! The color and textures are really nice. The shapes and lines are also very nice so nice work on the comp. The larger version makes me feel like I can reach out and feel the wet rock.

Neat look at these rocks. Well seen with the brighter rocks in the middle and the two yellow areas to hold the eyes. It has a "crumpled paper" wall hanging feeling.

A truly wonderful geological find here, Eva. The variety of colors, shapes, in conjunction with the changing vertical and horizontal lines, makes for an excellent photographic subject. Very nice indeed.

Eva,

Terrific mix of color, texture, details, lines and shapes. So much to explore here and like many here, I love these little rock scenes.

Only suggestion goes along with Morris' comments. If it were mine, I would crop the bottom to eliminate the bright rock, LL. But also shave a little off the left to do the same there; although those rocks aren't as bright, they still pull my eye a little. Both, minor suggestions.

That was a great little wet cliff scene Eva and one that Velvia handles very beautifully, Happy New Year.

Great mix of lines and color Eva. This is an excellent abstract image. I really like that I'm not able to determine the scale of the image...it makes it very interesting to look at.

Fantastic, Eva, The variety of colors and shapes, and textures is really remarkable. There must have been a multitude of possible compositions with this wall. I might crop a bit off the bottom to eliminate that brighter rock section the lower left, and perhaps work to decrease the highlights of that rock in the lower center area. Love it.
