Happy New Year everyone! 2012 was kinda slow for me photography wise, but the 2 trips I managed to Yosemite were enough to make it a good and productive year. I was pretty happy with all my images. Thank you to everyone who has commented on my work throughout the year.
Only one more after this and the series will be over. I decided to combine these last two images because they so similar and from the same location where I've already shared two other images. This first one here was actually not in my original group; I just scanned and worked this up over the weekend. It's a vertical crop from a horizontal frame where the horizontal had a big hot spot that wasn't working - then I saw the crop and worked this up. As usual, your honest feedback and comments are always welcome!

So, a Happy and Prosperous New Year to you, my friend. I am now looking forward to Spring in Yosemite. See you then, or before!

#25 Is my choice by far. The ferns color do it for me. Both very serene
Happy New Year to all
We did have a productive trip this autumn. I wish we all could have been this productive throughout the whole year as well. 2012 was also a slow year for me photographically, and I only have two more photos to share from the Yosemite trip.
Here's to a more productive 2013 for all of us.

Both of these are wonderful.I have really enjoyed seeing these grass images you captured in Yosemite...Just beautiful.
Between these 2 I guess I would pick #25 as my favorite but for me it is really a close call.

It's hard to pick with both being so nice in their own respect. Although similar a bit in composition, the change is obvious in all around colors, degree of light, and the pop associated with them. With that all said, I kind of lean towards the first one. Usually I always pick the more colorful, but there is truly something I really enjoy more about the first one here. Anyway, it's always good to have such excellent images to not only choose from, but to be able to print both and enjoy them.
OK, I just noticed there's two images in this post! trying to trick us, are you? Wow, I don't know that I can make a choice between the two. There's enough difference between them as to make it very hard to compare them (even though they share a lot of the same elements). I like the lighting and aspect ratio of the top image better, but I like the color combination and intimate feel of the second one best. Excellent compositions in both of them. If I absolutely HAD to choose between them, I think I would go with the second one (#25).
Oh yeah, a big Happy New Year's to you and your family too!!
Happy New Year, Lon!

Thanks again for your comments. Almost over.

I prefer the 2nd image better since it tells more of a story (transition between summer and fall). I like the mix of colors and the rocks. The rocks are definitely a key element in this image, since they do a good job breaking up the grass clusters.
Happy new year to you and thanks for your continous feedback on my photo's.
Cheers, Gary.
