Chocolatera Mirador

La Chocolatera is located near Salinas, Ecuador, on the Pacific coast. It is actually a small point that juts into the Pacific where two ocean currents converge. This causes huge and dangerous waves and churns up the bottom causing muddy waters, hence the name of Chocolatera. On this day, however, the water was wonderfully blue!

The photo was taken with a Canon 1D MkIII, Canon 17-40mm @ 20mm, ISO 100, 1/320 sec., f/11. Handheld.

I like the movement you caught of the waves splashing up against the rocks! I think there could have been a little more room on the right so at least the edge of the second roof would not be cut off. The indigo color of the water is really nice against the red/brown rocks!

Thank you, Eirini for the comment. I will see if I have more room for the roof on the right edge. Not sure, but it is a valid point. I suppose I could clone it out altogether. Anyway, thank you so much!
