Nothing very special here - I just love leafscapes. I love seeing them, I love capturing them, and I love sharing them. This was taken over the Thanksgiving holiday up in the mountains. The leaves were 4-6 inches deep and just absolutely lovely.

LARGE version available for better detail.

D2x w/ 35-70 @ 55mm
3 sec. @ f/16 - MLU and remote release
100 ISO
Singh Ray Polarizer
Tripod
Capture One 6, CS4

Your thoughts are always greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

I love the tones and textures Bill. A very common subject made into a very inviting image.

Seeing the larger version is a must! Beautiful colors & details! I am curious how something like this would look without a polarizer as I am considering getting one...the light looks fairly even as it is, so I am wondering how much of a difference it would make in this kind of situation.

I love leafscapes as well, Bill. Love all the shapes and detail. The detail here is really good, and I like all the shades of brown.

Looks like mostly white oaks and red oaks, with a few maple. Most places like this in the mountains are lovely whenever. A very pleasant random sample.

Most excellent, Bill ! A subtle blend of colour and texture, with the lighting yielding a nice sense of depth
