This Red Breasted Sapsucker was right outside my dining room window the other day, and we were definitely checking each other out. Unfortunately the window was a little dirty so it's not quite as sharp as I'd like. It was also quite shady, thus the high IS).

Canon 5d,MkIII, ISO4000, 100-400 lens at 400, f/5.6, 1/500 sec, hand-held.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

Considering the condition you were shooting from, you still got a pretty picture of the beautiful bird. The eye was sharp, for me that matters most. Thanks for sharing Kathy.

Well done through a window. Your windows must be cleaner than mine. Beautiful bird and pose. Love the position and details of the left food. I wonder if there is room for another round of sharpening around the eye, but fine as is.

Well done, specially shooting though a window. I do see a green color cast which you might be able to correct. Thanks for sharing.

Well done with the window in the way. I don't even attempt something like that. If he's a frequent visitor I would try to set up near the tree and wait for this beauty to come back.
